What's for Supper?

We went to the fitness center today, and I didn’t eat before we went so I would not be swimming on a full tummy, and I came home starving. I made a Taco Salad and ate it out in the zero gravity recliner in the back yard in the sunshine, and then I sunbathed for a half hour afterwards.
Bobby said he ate, but I was outside, so i have no idea what he had for dinner.
We usually do one meal (if that), and then just eat what either of us wants to eat otherwise. Thankfully, I married a man that can cook, so he does not depend on me to make his food.
I am going to make ice cream for tomorrow though. I should have made some for today….

Grillin' up some cheeseburgers with a side of chips and a dill pickle.
gosh I hate dill pickles Krystal.....but I don't mind the odd cheeseburger

Tonight I had jacket potato, with egg mayo , and blue cheese..for dinner...

yesterday my very kind Romanian neighbours who are just a bit younger than my daughter , who clearly think I need feeding and regularly bring me a plate of food they've dished up for their own family.. surpassed themselves and brought me this HUGE platter...

..steak, sausages, pork belly, chciken drumsticks , side salad, garlic mayo..hot bread roll, and not one but 2 cakes . Much as it's very welcome, it's impossible for me to eat all of that in one sitting, so I put 2/3rds of it in the fridge, and was going to have it tonight, but decided on the baked potato instead. I've frozen all the meat on that platter now.. and just got the cake in the fridge..

Oven baked chicken breasts coated with Parmesan herbed bread crumbs, baked potatoes with fresh chives and grated Parmesan cheese (because everything tastes better with a bit of fresh Parmesan😛), and steamed carrots.

chicken breasts marinated in Italian dressing then cooked on the charcoal grill, taters boiled in the shuck, and I don't know what else.

We had some smoked pork done by one of our sons, and roasted vegies from our storage that were harvested back in October--carrots, beets, and parsnips. We had pumpkin custard for dessert, but we were too full by the time we got to it.:) The smoked pork was topped by some of my wife's apple and cherry combo that she canned last fall.

I prepared a couple of options to build quick meals around for a couple of days. A baked spaghetti casserole and chicken drumsticks air-fried with some finely-diced pre-juiced tomatoes and pickled jalapenos spooned over them and a few shakes of lemon pepper. The meat stays moist but it still cooks to a little crispy on the outside and I don't mind the spicy tang at all from the marinating.

Today we had home made Spaghetti Bolognese :)
