Good luck with that.
Way back under the G. W. Bush years legislation against email spam was passed. But it was crafted with specific loopholes that made it permissible to any form of business, and left the door open to spamming via other electronic media beyond email.

Ever try opting out of such crap? Whack-A-Mole much? Ever heard of a company being fined?

That is exactly why I developed my "Internet Persona", a fake name, address, phone number, educational history, job history, etc. Some places I'm less strict about it than others, but I usually don't because it's foolish to do so. I've told people to do that for over 30 years, and I firmly believe there is No Such Thing as a 100% Secure Website. This woman has done a great job of explaining why...
